Some big and important matches today:
Stuttgart- München: München pk @ 1.84
this is basically a match for the final spot in championsleague. Stuttgart is currently holding the the spot 2 points ahead of Munich. Both have relatively easy remaining schedule.
That means that for both teams a draw would be fine and keeps them both alive. Stuttgart could go for the kill, but München needs it more.
Being out of champ league would be a big blow to Munich and they are pretty aware of the situation. Stuttgart is maybe a bit better in form right now, but they come off a big, emotional semi-final cup win at Wolfsburg on Wednesday and are maybe a bit tired. ofcause they also want to go to champ league, but it would be a big bonus for them.
it will be a very tight match and probably a draw, but at pk i am going with the more experienced team, which wants it more and needs it more.
Berlin- Dortmund: Berlin pk,-0.5@ 1.98
Berlin is now focuses on the top half of the table again. They won last week away in first game under new coach..so they new coach factor worked for them and should carry over to the first home game with they city pretty excited about it right now. Dortmund is still in relegation trouble. they won 2 weeks ago at Aachen and everybody thought that s it, but they ahd absolutely no chance in last week s home loss to Bremen. They are simply not a good team this year and last week s performance again confirmed that they are probably the only team in relegation zone not realizing how serious the situation is. this is not a good starting point and i like the better team at home to win.
Leverkusen- Nürnberg: Leverkusen pk,-0.5 @ 1.81
Another big match for the final uefa-spot with Nürnberg 2 point ahead.
Leverkusen is usually strong at home and last weeks 1-2 loss at München has shown that they are over their slump. it was a much better performance and they are fully focused on today s big match. Nürnberg meanwhile is definetely the team in form here, but they are overcoming a lot of injuries with pure will at the moment. Last time was on Tuesday a highly emotion 4-0 cup win over Frankfurt, which gives them their first cup final since ages. That was their main focus for this week and with all the celebration i dont think they are fully ready for today s match.
Also being in the cup final vs. Stuttgart (which is save at least in uefa-cup) gives them basically a free pass to intern. competition next year. which means : it s nice for them to win, but they dont need to.
Home team, mor focused and in stronger "must win position" should do it here.
Wolfsburg- Bielefeld: WOlfsburg -0.5,pk @ 1.90 over 2,2.5 @ 1.92
Both teams still involved in releagtion zone..especially Bielefeld. it a pretty open match where Bielfeld could surprise , but Wolfsburg is very strong at home lately and at -0.25 they are the value play here.
The over is the stronger play as Bielefled has to go for a win and cannot play to defensely. they have shown in the past that they are able to score away and in an open game there should be enough space for Wolfsburg to score at well. both teams on the board and hopefully than the over.
Frankfurt- Bochum: Bochum +0.5 @1.80 and over 2.5 @ 1.87
similar situation here. Both teams in releagtion trouble, but Bochum with better results recently. Frankfurt is coming off a very disappointing 0-4 cup loss, which gives Bochum at least in first half the emotional edge. Bochum usually scores in away games, so it should be at least a split, if they loose, but i like the chances they getting at least the draw in a pretty even match-up.
Schalke- Cottbus: Schalke -1.5 @1.89
Bremen won yesterday and so Schalke is 1 point behind them for the lead. it s a must win and they are showing brilliant form in recent matches. Even with Cottbus playing solid football recently Schalke should get an easy win. Cottbus is also relatively save from releagtion after their recent success so not all efford forthem to get points here.
